What makes us different?
The institution is built within the confines of bursting 2nd District of Davao City, situated along Villanueva, corner R. Castillo Streets Agdao, at its neighboring seaside area, the only hospital in the city with scenic view of Davao Gulf. The hospital is a four-story concrete infrastructure occupying 1.5 hectares space with 160 bed capacity, tertiary training hospital that could accommodate up to 100 cars parking lot, ready to serve the community.
It also serves as abase hospital for some 2500 nursing students reared by its sister institution the Mindanao Medical Foundation College whom board passers of good PRC rating have been constantly produced, not only in the field of nursing care but also in allied medical profession. So staffing in this institution will not be a problem to augment the workforce. It also aims to give an atmosphere for clinical training and teaching hospital for all allied health care professionals.
The institution was conceived for the purpose of serving the community with comfort and quality health care as its mission. Doors opened early in 1992 and categorized as non-profit corporation. We’ve designed our hospital around the patient and its family, as physicians and with nurse to develop a hospital that ills the need of our community in the best possible ways. We’re providing services, cardiac care and pediatric service, etc.
Our nurse, physicians and other professional staff will work together with our patients and their families to make decisions about what’s right for each patient. Multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, dietitians and chaplains will consult together on the appropriate care of our intensive care patients, inviting families to participate in that process creating a team that delivers total quality health care service.

The Humble Beginnings
A humble beginning.. In 1988, through the brainchild of our founder, the late Atty Senforiano B. Alterado Sr., started a 5 Bed capacity Lying In clinic as part of the requirement of the Commission of Higher Education for the Midwifery Department of the Mindanao Medical Foundation College (MMFC). It was named Mindanao Medical Foundation Community Lying In Clinic.
In 1992, Atty “Simpoy” B. Alterado Sr., upgraded the Lying In clinic into a 60 Bed capacity hospital as a requirement again for the Nursing program of MMFC and renamed it Alterado General Hospital (AGH), a secondary hospital. Through the years Alterado General Hospital morphed into a developed independent entity from its sister company school yet both are complementing each other ..AGH became a non-stock, private institution, tertiary Level 2 teaching training hospital licensed by the Department of Health with 160 Bed capacity, Philhealth accredited, member of the Philippine Hospital Association and the Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines Inc., located along R. Castillo St., Brgy Gov. Vicente Duterte Agdao Davao City 8000. It remained as the Base Hospital for the allied health programs of its sister company school , Mindanao Medical Foundation College. The institution is located in the fast growing 2nd district of Davao City, Agdao, situated along the gulf area, the only hospital in the city with the scenic view of Davao Gulf which makes it more conduscive for treatment and recovery and soon it would be adjacent to the soon Coastal road of the city.
The hospital was conceived for the purpose of serving the community with affordable and quality health care services for all , as its mission. We’ve designed our hospital around the patient and its family to develop a hospital that fills the need of our community in the best possible ways. Making our patients priority, a VIP!..We’re providing services on internal medicine, pediatric, obstetric-gynecology , surgery, dentistry, optometry etc.. Our professional medical staff will work together with our patients and their families to make transparent decisions about what’s right for each patient. Multidsiciplinary team of doctor specialists, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, dietetians and chaplains will consult together on the appropriate care of our patients, inviting families to participate in that process creating a proactive team that delivers total quality, accessible health care services for all.
